Hip Hip Hooraayy!!! (Malaysia 4 - Indonesia 2)

Finally!! Though Malaysia lost in the second leg final last night 1-2 to the host in Stadium Gelora Bung Karno last night, but we won on aggregate ;) The big margin win in Bukit Jalil helps a lot.

Actually, I did not watch a single kick last night. I totally forgot, olvidó por completo. I did my laundry, baked a very sour apple pie (lain kali taknak pakai Granny Smith dah..) and went to sleep by 10.30pm (normally 12pm-1am). I even watch 2 sinetron in the midst of all those.

I don't know why I totally forgot about the match. So the first thing I check this morning is the match results and alhamdulillah, we got it!! Malaysia Boleh!! I saw in one blog posting PM gave Friday as public holiday..best gile....but hold on, it is public holiday in this company. Each time the PH falls on Saturday, we get the Friday as in-lieu.... well does that mean we will be getting the compensated PH on Monday? yeay!!! but still we need to get confirmation from HR.

The office is like slowly shutting down. I came in this morning and HAVE to open the door. Normally there would be like 2-3 person in the office by the time I reach here. And its totally empty now as two of my colleague went for breakfast.

This is a good ending to Malaysia for 2010 ;)

¡Feliz Nuevo Año!

The wishes start coming in. I found this one very handy indeed :

HAND BOOK for LIFE
1. Drink plenty of water.
2. Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a beggar
3. Eat more foods that grow on trees and plants and eat less food that is manufactured in plants.
4. Live with the 3 E's -- Energy, Enthusiasm, and Empathy.
5. Make time to practice meditation, yoga, and prayer.
6. Play more games.
7. Read more books than you did in 2010.
8. Sit in silence for at least 10 minutes each day.
9. Sleep for 7 hours. (or more)
10. Take a 10-30 minutes’ walk every day.. And while you walk, smile.
11. Don't compare your life to others'. You have no idea what their journey is all about.
12. Don't have negative thoughts or things you cannot control. Instead invest your energy in the positive present moment
13. Don't overdo. Keep your limits.
14. Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does.
15. Don't waste your precious energy on gossip.
16. Dream more while you are awake.
17. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need.
18. Forget issues of the past. Don't remind your partner with his/her mistakes of the past. That will ruin your present happiness.
19. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone. Don't hate others.
20. Make peace with your past so it won't spoil the present.
21. No one is in charge of your happiness except you.
22. Realize that life is a school and you are here to learn. Problems are simply part of the curriculum that appear and fade away like algebra class but the lessons you learn will last a lifetime.
23. Smile and laugh more.
24. You don't have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.
Society
25. Call your family often.
26. Each day give something good to others.
27. Forgive everyone for everything.
28. Spend time with people over the age of 70 & under the age of 6.
29. Try to make at least three people smile each day.
30. What other people think of you is none of your business.
31. Your job won't take care of you when you are sick. Your friends will. So always make the effort to stay in touch
32. Do the right thing!
33. Get rid of anything that isn't useful, beautiful or joyful.
34. God heals everything.
35. However good or bad a situation is, it will change.
36. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up.
37. The best is yet to come.
38. When you awake alive in the morning, thank God for it.

Harimau Malaya - A Glimmer of Hope

By now the whole of Malaysia probably have known that the boys aced the game last nite. I was kinda watching it. Why kinda? because everytime I watched a live game, my favorite would lose, its a jinx, I could not explain it. On some rare occasion my favorite do win, but for last night, there were too much at stake, causing me to have enough courage just to flip in between channels during the commercial break.

Besides, its Grey's season finale last night, so yes, the excitement went a little bit overboard for 3 hours for me...hehehe...

Anyhoo..am glad that the boys secured a safe win last night, and to seal the deal, they have no choice but to play defensively in Jakarta this Wednesday. Malaysian football had a great year this 2010. Lets hope we end the year with this one in our bag. InsyaAllah....

Aku Sebel Tau Ngak? @ menciiiikkkk.....

Aku sudah ikutin sinetron ini dari mula. Kelmarin episod akhirnya, ya aku tau itu, tapi temanku di kantor ajak riadah sekali, meningan aku ikut, lagian udah lama deh aku ngak riadah. Selalunya 6.30 tiap sore, aku pasti lekat depan TV. Aku pon ngak pasti ngapain aku tega ninggalin sinetron itu semata-mata mau ikut riadah...Oh ya...aku bisa kok ikutin ulangannya, jam 11 malam.

Selesai riadah, aku pulang.

Anjakkan masa tayangan awal sejam....ting!! Aku lihat judul keramat itu...

Cinta Kirana, 25 Disember 2010, Jam 4 petang, Astro Ria...

Moga benaran kali ini, moga aja Astro tidak menarik balik tayangan itu...bisa bikin aku sebel lagi...udah diikut dari episod 1, sekarang ngak bisa lihat yang akhirnya, mana bisa dong?

p/s: sori..hari ni cek tukaq channel, demam sinetron tak habih lagi nooo...... ;)

Tis the season to be jolly~~~

Nope, am not celebrating Navidad..;) I made this as a gift to a colleague who just had a baby boy last June. Yes, I am running behind on gifts, but what the heck hope the boy can still fit this.

Babies booties for Aziz, 100% garter stitch
I have not graduated from babies stuffs, am trying a new one this month, but still some small stuffs. I am having a tough time to do seed stitch, or any ribbing for that matter. If the pattern require only knit, or only purl then I can handle it. The moment they put the two together, I just can't figure out how to make it to the next row without adding new stitch. Well, am working on it, so maybe can expect something next year? hahaha....

~this the season to be jolly..tralalalalalalalala....

looking great smile 2010 contest by zainatun adilah

After not being tagged for quite some time, dieya finally poked me :)

As I mentioned to dieya, I normally senyum malu-malu kambing when it comes to photo. Since am still in walking down memory lane mood after yesterday's post, I took a look at some old photos. So I decided to go with this one.

with che' det
This was taken during the former Menteri Pendidikan, Dato Aziz Shamsudin's daughter's wedding. The reason we were there because VC of UiTM (Ibrahim Abu Shah) is the neighbour and asked us to do his friend (Dato' Aziz) a favour. We were asked to be the usher for the reception. This was in 2003/4 if I am not mistaken, ask the bride, she might still remember...hehehe...

More pics....
still could not stop smiling...;)

ngan tuan tanah..

with Pak Lah

last but not least..with raja & ratu sehari
The VIPS are people from all over the country, Sultan Azlan Shah & Raja Nazrin, Sultan Selangor, menteri-menteri kabinet. Dato Adnan (Menteri Besar Pahang) arrived late and they already shut the door, so he and wifey had to watch from outside. We were like jakun as we've never seen so many VIPS at one place!!

There it goes, the story of my life!!

Nak tag :
Kak Tek
Maya
Aida

Kalo sudi, sila la buat ;)

p/s: I was the one who approches Tun M and asked can we take a pics with him after some minor tussle with my friends ;)
p/p/s: its not like we are super duper close with VC, but its easier for him to mobilise ROTUrian like us, than any other uniform body in UiTM..

I'll be there for you!!!

Back in UiTM, I had a group of very close friends, my diploma classmate to be exact. There are 10 of us, Ina, Pijah,Ecah,Yus,Azs,Sarah,Nisah, Ekin, Joe and me. They all lived in the same college and block, but I lived a bit further (due to my involvement in ROTU). Throughout my diploma years, I would spend end of semester days squating at their rooms. I'll be eating at their dining room with one of the roomates dining card. That went on for 3 years. We graduated in 2002.

After diploma, only Sarah start work right away, the other 9 of us decided to do degree. Ecah, Nisah, Ekin and I went to do Chemical Engineering. Yus, Azs and Ina did Applied Chemistry and Pijah and Joe did Environmental Science. Sarah was the first one to get married. I remembered taking a ride in Yus's Kancil to Jengka to attend her wedding. Soon enough we graduated with our degree though not at the same time (we chem eng took the longest time..hehehe...)

What comes next is more marriage, first was Ecah, then Joe and Ekin (on the same weekend!!), then Ina,Pijah, Nisah and followed by latest Yus. So now only me and Azs are the singles. However as Allah has fated, the early bird might not necessary gets the earliest worms. In this case Joe and Ekin has been having problem conceiving. Even Pijah have the same issue, (Yus had her 1st baby last June). Sarah and Ecah have no problems. The kids must be like 4-5 years old now!! Ina is expecting her second one on my birthday next year, insyaAllah... ;)

I do not have the luxury to see the girls as often as I wanted. We are spread all over the nation, but we do keep in touch with SMS and calls (we are conventional, FB not really our thing). We never made a promise to be friends till the end, but somehow there is underlying understanding in between us. Like many girls friendship, ours has been tested (10 girls in same circle, you'll get girls fight, but thankfully it has never been about boys). Off and on we pour our hearts out to one another till today.

Last night I got a call from Joe, she finally broke the news, she's 4 months pregnant!!! Alhamdulillah...she said that I am the second that she is telling, after Pijah. It turns out that Pijah is also 4-5 months pregnant already!! ;) The reason Joe told me after all this while is because she had a miscarriage earlier in her marriage and after that she was cautios when it comes to conceiving and all.

She even mentioned she had a hard time breaking the news to Pijah, its a sensitive topic as they both had issues. She was saying that "Aku ade berita gembira, tapi mungkin ko akan sedih..." to Pijah, I get what she means. And apparently Pijah was having the same dilemma to tell Joe. But somehow they both managed to let it all out and Alhamdulillah both have good news, Allah the Almighty....what two friends afraid the other might be hurt off, turns out to be a blessing to both of them.

Joe shared her 'nonsense' cravings and we really had a good laugh last night. She sounded so happy, even her sister who got married on the same day is expecting as well (twins lagi!!). The only thing is that she is still unsure how to break the news to Ekin...

After a while, its good to catch up, even if its just a phone call. I miss them, a lot!!!

I caught the bug late ;)

When he first appeared, a friend introduced him to me as Kris Allen kinda guy. She figured I would be totally all over him, since am a huge fan of Kris, but me normally goes the other way people predicted. Listened to his song, kinda saw his face, not a fan....at least not yet.

Over few months he gained popularity and even made way to our shores, still was not a fan, the songs are good, but not sure why it did not caught my attention. However, yesterday, it all took a turn. Was kinda sorting things out as my ex-housemate packed her stuffs (I am officially living alone now) and watching the live telecast of Sambutan Maal Hijrah from PICC, and the performance from these kids really caught my eye. Great talent, suara pon sedap....till the last song. The girl started it, it sounded so sincere, so unpretentious,so pure coming from a small girl, and yes, the pronounciation was good. The words stuck with me, and after that Oasis showed the original video of the song, I fell even more deeper....

InsyaAllah by Maher Zain

Everytime you feel like you cannot go on
You feel so lost
That your so alone
All you see is night
And darkness all around
You feel so helpless
You can’t see which way to go
Don’t despair and never loose hope
Cause Allah is always by your side

Insha Allah x3
Insya Allah you’ll find your way

Everytime you commit one more mistake
You feel you can’t repent
And that its way too late
Your’re so confused, wrong decisions you have made
Haunt your mind and your heart is full of shame
Don’t despair and never loose hope
Cause Allah is always by your side

Insha Allah x3
Insya Allah you’ll find your way
Insha Allah x3
Insya Allah you’ll find your way

Turn to Allah
He’s never far away
Put your trust in Him
Raise your hands and pray

OOO Ya Allah
Guide my steps don’t let me go astray
You’re the only one that showed me the way,
Showed me the way x2
Insha Allah x3
Insya Allah we’ll find the way

Salam Maal Hijrah 1432H

Salam menjelang tahun baru ;)

Another year is going to pass. What have we done? is it enough, was it a better year? Time to reflect and dig deep inside, see where we are, and moving forward what else do we need? Our days are numbered, what is it that we look for in life anyway? Questions and more questions, the answers lies beneath us.

pic ehsan pakcik google, kat sini hujan tiap2 petang, nak amik gambo sunset memang x sempat...
Anyhoo...Salam Maal Hijrah to us, all of us. May Allah bless another day, another year in each and every life of ours.

Some useful links especially for days like these, doa di sini..., peristiwa hijrah, read more here
